Magadang Gabi!

Good evening from Maria Aurora, Aurora, Philippines!
Josh, Monica, and I arrived to our new home last Thursday after 20 long hours of travel. It's very surreal that we are actually here after training and praying for this moment for the past 2 years. We've officially unpacked and it is beginning to feel like home. I can't describe to you what a beautiful area we are waking up to everyday. God's creation overwhelms me here. A few of my favorite things: banana trees in our yard, herbs to cut and make our own herbal teas, a tilapia pond, coconut trees that tower over us, a soon to come poultry farm, and the most beautiful flowers. We've met some precious Filipinos who are a part of the church here and we are anxious to begin doing ministry alongside them. We are also praying about beginning a discipleship for the young leaders (like Trek-X Philippines ha). We are so excited to hand off what was discipled into us the past two years. Our prayer is that those who are discipled and trained missionally will eventually go out as missionaries to other parts of the Philippines or the world! However, with all this excitement in the air and outlandish ideas in our heads, we desire to follow the Lord's lead in what He would have us to do in our time here. Ultimately we know the Lord's plan to reach the world is the Church and we pray to mobilize the church here in Aurora. Enjoy some pictures from our first few days!!

P.S. We are expecting our first typhoon tomorrow! It shouldn't hit our area too badly, but there's still a sense of anxiousness around here. We'll keep you updated will all that's going on and how you can pray. Love you all.
